About & Data Sources
farmers.list.markets is a free directory of U.S. farmers markets, part of list.markets. It is run by Cute and Honey LLC, Houston, Texas, and is not affiliated with the USDA or any market.
Where the Data Comes from
- Markets: the USDA National Farmers Market Directory (Agricultural Marketing Service, Local Food Directories). Markets register and update their own listings there. U.S. government data, public domain. We currently list 7,090 markets from the copy downloaded on October 27, 2026, and refresh it periodically.
- City names: checked against the U.S. Census Bureau 2024 Gazetteer of places.
- What's in season: the USDA SNAP-Ed Seasonal Produce Guide.
What We Change
We clean formatting (capital letters, address parts), group free-text payment answers into simple labels (for example "Mobile payments"), and remove exact duplicate listings. We never invent hours, reviews or ratings. Each listing shows the date the market last updated its USDA record.
Limits
The USDA data does not include this year's days and hours, and some listings are several years old. Always check with the market before you go.
